I recommend to update your network card drivers and check if that helps. during how long have you had the problem? How can I solve this problem and what could be the problem?ġ did you change your computer, after which the issue started?Ģ. My computer connects to the wireless internet, but I am still unable to connect to internet even though it is always connected to the wireless connection. But, for now "if it's not broken, do not fix." :-) I can update my driver someday, when I am willing that my printer stops working again. I did not bother to try to download the latest drivers from their web site, to see if that was the problem, because when I tried to use the driver that I already "knew" worked with my current setup of troubleshooting. But as these buttons no longer worked to solve the problem, the manual installation using the cable has solved my problem. The original name of the printer was 'assigned' initial installation when I used the 'wifi' on the printer and the router button. ![]() The new name of the printer has changed to "1160w Dell monochrome laser printer", which is the best description of the printer anyway, so I don't mind the change. He did change the "name" of the printer from "DELL * ' followed by a group of numbers. Then I unplugged the USB cable from the printer, and now it works wireless again. I got the message "installation failed, try again? I chose 'Yes', this time I got the message "success of wireless configuration". I followed the directions, with cable is still connected and manually entered my "wifi password', in the dialog box. Then in the Dell same folder was an application called "Wireless Setup program. I went to my directory of installed programs and selected Dell and there is an application called 'maintenance', which allowed me to "repair/reinstall" the driver who was initially working OK (then stopped working). I connected the USB cable from the printer to the computer. ![]()
